Cupping Therapy
FASCIQ® Silicone Cups are designed for professional dry cupping treatments. By squeezing the cup before placing it on the skin, negative pressure is created that gently lifts the skin and superficial tissue into the cup.
Cupping has a long history within traditional treatment practices. Today, therapists use modern silicone cups as part of massage, fascia-focused treatment and movement therapy. Depending on the treatment objective, a cup can remain stationary, be moved across the skin or be combined with active movement.
FASCIQ® cups are flexible and easy to control. For moving or gliding techniques, a small amount of FASCIQ® Massage Cream or Wax can be applied to help the cup move smoothly over the skin.

What Happens During a Cupping Treatment?
The negative pressure inside the cup lifts the skin and underlying superficial tissue. This is different from many manual techniques, which primarily apply downward pressure. The amount of suction can be adjusted by changing how firmly the silicone cup is compressed before application.
The local mechanical stimulus may create a temporary circulation response and a sensation similar to a firm massage. Depending on the technique and treatment area, the therapist can use the cup to work on a fixed location or move it along a muscle or fascial structure.
Temporary redness or circular marks can occur after cupping. Their intensity and duration depend on factors including the strength of the suction, treatment time, treatment area and individual skin response. These marks usually fade naturally over time.

Cupping May Be Used to Support:
Local soft-tissue and fascia-focused treatment
A temporary local circulation response
Relaxation of areas that feel tense or restricted
Tissue mobilisation around fully healed scars
Movement and mobility-focused treatment
Massage of larger body areas and cosmetic body treatments
The response to cupping differs between individuals. The available scientific evidence varies by application and treatment objective, so cupping is generally used as one component of a broader professional assessment and treatment plan.
Different Ways to Use Silicone Cups
The flexibility of silicone cups makes it possible to vary the amount of suction and combine cupping with different treatment techniques.
Stationary Cupping
The cup remains in one position for a controlled period while the therapist monitors the skin and tissue response.
Moving Cupping
The cup glides across the skin with the help of massage cream or wax, similar to a firm massage technique.
Cupping With Movement
The client performs a controlled movement while the cup remains stationary or is guided by the therapist.
Targeted Tissue Work
Specially shaped cups can be used to lift, push or pull the tissue around a precisely selected area.

How to Choose the Right Cupping Set?
The right cup depends on the treatment area, desired technique and amount of control required. Larger cups are generally suitable for broader body areas, while smaller cups allow more targeted work around smaller or more contoured areas.
Body cups: suitable for larger treatment areas and moving cupping techniques
Small and large cups: two practical sizes for both targeted and broader applications
Four-size sets: a versatile selection for different body regions
Trigger point cups: shaped for controlled lifting, pushing and pulling of the tissue
Facial cups: smaller cups developed for gentle use on the face, neck and décolleté
Personal preference also matters. The cup should feel comfortable to control, and the suction should always be adapted to the treatment area and the client’s response.
Cupping for Cosmetic Body Massage
Silicone cups are also used for cosmetic massage of areas such as the thighs, buttocks, abdomen and upper arms. A moving cupping technique creates a firm massage sensation and a temporary local skin and circulation response.
Regular massage may temporarily improve the appearance and feel of the skin, including skin with visible cellulite. Results differ between individuals and should not be presented as a permanent treatment for cellulite or as a method for removing fat.
For comfortable movement across larger body areas, apply a suitable massage cream or wax and begin with light suction. Increase the intensity only when the skin response remains comfortable.
Important Considerations Before Cupping
Cupping intensity should always be adapted to the treatment area, the condition of the skin and the client’s individual response.
Start with light suction and short treatment periods
Do not apply cups to broken, infected, irritated or acutely inflamed skin
Stop the treatment if the client experiences sharp pain, numbness or an unexpected skin reaction
Consider medical conditions and medication that may affect bruising, bleeding or skin sensitivity
Clean the cups according to the product instructions after every use
People with a medical condition, circulatory disorder, bleeding disorder or increased risk of bruising should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before cupping. Professional users should always work within their training and scope of practice.
